It is Art Day for Children! And we are celebrating that in Kontich with the performance Palavras van Compagnie Niks. For everyone from 2.5 years old. You can choose between the performance at 1:30 PM and 4 PM. Huh? what is that? a foot! Two feet! aaah pied Who is that? that is a human! on a mattress, on a motorcycle, or on a horse? And where are we going? para là! por aqui! and to the music por favor! Do you feel the rhythm? are you partying along? Achoo! I am tired. Close your eyes and listen to the light. What color is the silence after a song? What does water sound like when it comes from the sky? And how do you say that in your language? Take a word, give it a voice, a color, a note, and a scent. Will you sing along? Yes! And then to bed. And… wake up! uuuh? Who are those? Palavradoras! They like to play with long letters and sounds, with mattresses and handkerchiefs. On tiptoes, they walk very slowly or dance very fast. And they sing in the bath. And you can join in! ‘PALAVRAS’, an interactive musical, multi-sensory performance for children from 2.5 years old. The performance focuses on connecting with young children from their own world and the imagination that flows from it. The players experiment with their mother tongues (French, Portuguese, Spanish) and build bridges to Dutch from there. Language skills and musical sensitivity are stimulated. compagnie niks loves softness, humor, and poetry. With this, the company creates a warm nest to linger in... and you are welcome! compagnie niks is the company of Alice Erlanger, Renata Lamenza Epifanio and Chantal Boes: three makers with different backgrounds and a shared curiosity. They form the beating heart of compagnie niks and combine their years of expertise and stage experience with an enormous passion for music, sensoriality, and imagination that they deploy for a (very) young audience.
