Burgrock 2026

For a year, things were quiet around Burgrock, but this summer the festival is fully back, with a fresh approach and as an ideal warm-up for the second edition of the light spectacle 'Het Belfort Vertelt'. From 𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟗 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟏, the Burg will once again be the beating heart of the Flemish festive week. For three days, you can sample a wide musical mix: on Thursday, local guitar intensity takes the stage, with Geitenvel, Crying Lupus, and Mantah. On Friday, the evening is colored by Dutch-language music with Augustijn and the Belpop band. And on Saturday, it's family day with a children's village full of entertainment. Everything is 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄, accessible, and made for young and old. So come on down and celebrate with us! Geitenvel, Crying Lupus, and Mantah might be names you don't see on posters every day yet, but make no mistake: this is the kind of evening where you come out of curiosity and leave with the feeling that you've discovered something. Three bands. Three hits. 𝟏𝟗:𝟎𝟎: 𝐆𝐞𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟐𝟎:𝟎𝟎: 𝐂𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐮𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝟐𝟏:𝟎𝟎: 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐡 *** 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟎 - 𝐃𝐮𝐭𝐜𝐡-𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐠𝐞 *** On Friday, we consciously choose plenty of Dutch-language music and songs that stick, with lyrics that touch you and an atmosphere that carries you along without overwhelming you. We open with Augustijn - known as the son of Willem Vermandere, but by now primarily an artist with his own project. Afterward, we close with the energetic cover band BelpopBand. They perform exclusively homegrown hits. 𝟐𝟎:𝟎𝟎: 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐣𝐧 𝟐𝟏:𝟑𝟎: 𝐁𝐞𝐥𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐝 *** 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏𝟏 - 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 *** Building on the success of two years ago, we are once again transforming the Burg on Saturday into a place where young and old feel at home. In the children's village under the trees, we are providing a bouncy castle, traditional games, a face-painting stand, and children's makeup. Meanwhile, parents can head to our terrace for a drink and a bite to eat. From 3 PM, the Bruges cover band Sweet Talk will provide the soundtrack for the square. Not background music, but a band that immediately creates an atmosphere: tight guitars, strong vocals, and a rhythm section that automatically draws you closer to the stage.
