COPYRIOT - KRAPP / KVS

Wanneer Gloria meets her perfect double, her urge to be unique changes into a bitter battle against a world full of copies in which even her own life no longer seems to be hers. Gloria always believed she was ‘reasonably unique’. Until one day she runs into someone who looks a lot like her. Someone with exactly the same name, the same body, and the same dreams. Someone who stands out just a little bit more than she does. The harder Gloria tries to be original, the further she sinks into a simulation of her own life. COPYRIOT is about our search for stability in a world that increasingly seems like a copy of a copy. The trio works together on new repertoire: they write and perform their own theater texts in which fact and fiction, science and nonsense, history and grotesque fantasy are intertwined. COPYRIOT is their most recent performance, after, among others, ‘De Duivels/Les Diables’ which could be seen during the Reiefestival 2023.
