Bike ride: To the source of the Leie

Have you always wanted to see where the Leie rises? Then be sure to participate in this cycling tour. We head by car (and of course our bikes on the back) towards Aire-sur-la-Lys (Ariën-aan-de-Leie) to start our cycling tour there. We explore the city and head through small villages to Lisbourg. We go in search of the bubbling water of the “Golden River”, a sacred place for Wervikanen and Menenaars, and enjoy our picnic there. In the afternoon, we return via the historic city of Thérouanne (Terwanen), once destroyed by Keizer Karel. In café le Moriny, we stop for a drink as civilized Morins and then cycle briskly back to the starting point, where everyone is free to take a short city walk. Don't forget to taste the andouillette, a local delicacy!
