PAMPER Mirja Klippel & Alex Jønsson

Mirja Klippel, a Finland-born artist who now lives in rural Denmark, has left her mark on the alternative folk scene by weaving the raw beauty of the Nordic landscape into her music, with an underlying tone of longing. She is inspired by Finnish folk, Americana, atmospheric dream pop, and indie, in a way that is both beautiful and tragic in the most romantic sense. Klippel’s debut EP, ‘Lift Your Lion’ (2016), introduced the world to her talents as a songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, while her second album, ‘Slow Coming Alive’ (2021), had a more introspective approach in which she explored the Finnish poems of her youth and addressed universal themes such as social justice, combined with the sounds of intimate chamber music. For this, she received three nominations for the Danish Music Awards Roots. Klippel is accompanied by her permanent musical partner, guitarist Alex Jønsson.
