Nina, New dawn

Nina, New Dawn is a musical, poetic, and committed show, built around the immense figure of Nina Simone. Singer, pianist, free artist, and tireless activist, she made her voice a weapon of beauty, anger, and resistance.
Carried by Delphine Gardin and a quartet of musicians, the show revisits the iconic songs of Nina Simone in a resolutely current soundscape, between jazz, rock, and electronic music. The tracks dialogue with fragments of interviews, giving to hear as much the artist as the woman, her fights, her wounds, her radical choices, and her commitment to civil rights.
Through this musical crossing, Nina, New Dawn reminds us how much the message of Nina Simone remains burning today. In a world where fundamental freedoms remain fragile and where inequalities persist, her voice continues to invite us to look squarely at what must change.
"It’s a new dawn, it’s a new day, it’s a new life…" This new dawn sung by Nina Simone does not belong only to the past. It remains a promise, a possible space of expression, struggle, and transformation, within the reach of everyone.
A vibrant, modern, and necessary tribute to an artist who never separated music from the world she wanted to see come to pass.
