'Ki no nagare' means something like flowing energy. In this performance, two acrobats start from aikido, a Japanese martial art in which you do not fight against the strength of the other, but move along with it. They push, pull, carry, and catch each other. Sometimes it seems like a fight, then again a conversation without words. To the rhythms of taiko and drums, a warm, physical performance arises about strength, trust, and seeking balance together. About the company Collectif Malunés is a Belgian-French contemporary circus company, founded in 2009 by three Flemings and a Frenchwoman. The collective starts from a strong love for circus, street, and encounter, and grew into a company that creates its own universe both in public space and in the circus tent. In their work, the collective is central: taking risks, falling, catching, sharing, and trusting. Collectif Malunés investigates how bodies move together and how solidarity can become visible in acrobatics.
