Augusto Pedraza, Mechelen newcomer with Mexican roots, investigates in this performance the role of romantic love throughout human history based on his own journey as a migrant in Europe.
Themes such as identity, culture, race, sexuality, privilege, and family values are explored, where obstacles and complex conversations are overcome and ultimately the question is asked: “Why do we go so far for love?”.
Expect a mix of Latin American rhythms, electronic soundscapes, and urban hip-hop that pays tribute to the different types of love that people all over the world and in all different forms have experienced.
Practical: This performance is in multiple languages (English, Spanish, Dutch) with Dutch surtitles.
