Niels Brandaan

Once upon a time, there was a dreamy little boy fighting with himself and the world around him… Itte is a man in his forties. He rides a white horse across the world and is in possession of three black top hats. At every village and every city, he stops. He puts his hands to his mouth and shouts: \"Come and see, come and see, and whoever doesn't come, misses out.\" When people gather around him, he tells his story. Niels Brandaan is an inspired and gifted storyteller from the misty, beautiful Orvelte (in the far-off Drenthe). He is a storyteller in his very being. From a young age, he has been telling stories and researching the art and skill of telling and imagining. Niels constantly wonders how stories want to be told. This poetic and musical narrative stimulates the imagination in an intriguing way and takes you, as a spectator, through different life stages of Itte.
