Heartwarming places walk in collaboration with Enchanté

Did you know that in your neighborhood too, many people live in loneliness or do not find it easy to access society? Belonging is, however, crucial to feeling good about yourself. Participating in social life in a city or neighborhood is difficult without connection. Yet a broad social network or safety net is not a given for everyone. That is why Enchanté vzw provides a pinch of connection for everyone with Hartelijke Plekken. How do they do this? Well… Enchanté builds local networks of merchants where everyone is welcome and cares for each other. They swing their doors open and offer a warm place to anyone who needs it. Here you can just walk in to charge your phone, drink a glass of water, warm up for a while, read a newspaper, or just for a chat. You recognize them by our sticker on their window. During the 10 days of mental health, Miguel van Enchanté from BlinkOut guides interested people on a ‘heartwarming places’ walk. This way you always discover interesting, new spots, but also how you yourself can contribute to supporting others. We meet in BlinkOut on Monday, October 5 at 1:45 PM. The walk starts at 2:00 PM. --- BlinkOut organizes a number of activities annually in the context of Samen Veerkrachtig, the 10 days of Geestelijke Gezondheid. This year the Ghent theme is ‘REST’.
