SoundMine - Filip Rathé

SoundMine is an international composition internship by Musica, Impulse Center for Music, with intensive coaching by top-level composer-teachers. This biennial masterclass ‘composing for orchestra’ was long inspired by Wim Henderickx, who maintained a close bond with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra. The orchestra is happy to commit itself to keeping this project alive. During SoundMine, young people and adults with a passion for composing push the boundaries of their own musical imagination for five days. They work towards a presentation moment with a large symphony orchestra on the stage of the Koningin Elisabethzaal. Hear how their work comes to life in the hands of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
