The 24th "Festival of the Potale Saint Roch"

On Saturday, September 5 and Sunday, September 6, 2026, the Les Amis association of Potale Saint-Roch is organizing the 24th Festival of Potale Saint-Roch, at the Maladrie (Thuin). This convivial meeting will offer various activities throughout the weekend, including a festive evening, family activities, a meal under a marquee, and the traditional Tour of the Maladrie. Programme Samedi September 5 From 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.: youth evening with orchestra and open bar. Sunday, September 6 Refreshment bar and light refreshments; Duck fishing; Archery organized by the Archers du Berceau; 10:00 a.m.: departure of the Compagnies de Marche for the Tour of the Maladrie; 12:30 p.m.: tribute and hymn to Saint-Roch at the Potale; 2:00 p.m.: meal under a marquee (by reservation – places limited to 120 participants); 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.: musical afternoon with the group Arguedennes. Admission to the festivities is free. Only the meal is accessible by reservation, within the limit of available places. To ensure the smooth running of the festivities, police measures are taken: From Saturday, September 5, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. to Sunday, September 6, 2026, at 11:00 p.m., parking will be prohibited on the Maladrie Square. "Slow down – Local Festival" signage will be installed around the site and the speed will be limited to 30 km/h. Nadar barriers will also be put in place in order to secure the site. On Sunday, September 6, 2026, the procession of the Tour of the Maladrie will circulate in the streets of the neighborhood under the supervision provided by the Highway Code and will be accompanied by a security vehicle. "Local Festival" signage will be placed at the entrances to the neighborhood. On Sunday, September 6, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., parking and circulation will be prohibited at the height of Potale Saint-Roch, Fosteau street, during the homily. The march's shots will be carried out under the responsibility of the officers in charge of the firing orders, in strict compliance with the safety measures provided for participants and the public.
