From September 17 to 19, Kunsthal Extra City will host the eighth edition of The Image Generator. Under the theme sound, the three-day festival brings together a group of artists who explore the boundaries between visual art, performance, and sound. Tijdens The Image Generator unfolds a temporary festival route in which installations, performances, sound works, and artistic interventions alternate. Visitors are invited to move freely through the former Dominicanenkerk van Kunsthal Extra City and discover the program at their own pace. The 2026 edition brings work by Younes Baba-Ali, Samuel Baidoo, Line Boogaerts & Ditmar Goes, Lotte Boonstra, Charlotte Bouckaert, Evelien Cammaert, Cie Les Connexions Oubliées, Niel De Vries, Numina Gneisspecker, Ildikó Horváth, Vinny Jones, Bart Lodewijks, Smila Mania, Cally Spooner, Karl Van Welden, Benjamin Verdonck & Lucas van Haesbroeck and Moni Wespi.
