A woman turns herself in to the police, she seems guilty. Guilty of what, she wouldn't know how to say, but she must be guilty of something. Avec De my own free will, based on the novel by Mathilde Forget, one is gripped in the gut, in the heart: it is the story of a rape, a lesbophobic rape more exactly. Pour Jessica Gazon, some works have been a driving force for life. Self-writing particularly, which they made the subject of their work: adapting a novel to the theater is a displacement, a translation that is already a form in itself. De mon plein gré is a choral piece, luminous, filled with questioning, which gives strength, nourishes us, and heals a little. The staging bones, analyzes, and accompanies us in understanding the mechanisms of a society violent towards victims of sexual assault. Especially those whose lives do not conform to the expected norm. Filing a complaint, telling and retelling the infinite story of what one does not want to name, to the police, to the justice system, to oneself. This long and painful path with all the obstacles, Jessica Gazon and their team tell it with radicality, with tenderness. A necessary show.
