Ave de Barro literally means Bird of clay. It is a Belgian-Mexican trio that brings the passion and richness of Latin American music to life. Denisse Vargas and Stevo Fakoli met in 2019 and quickly discovered their shared love for Mexican and Latin American songs, beautiful boleros and rancheros. With enchanting melodies and musical support from multi-instrumentalist Tom Callens, they take you on a journey to the Mexico of the 1930s to the 1980s and bring the rich Mexican tradition to life in a profound way.
