Early bird price 6 euros We bring a world together in Dutch with music as an international language In WIJ (WE), songs from our home get an exotic interpretation and songs from their home get a Dutch-language version. This is how WE make music together, with Dutch as the common language, but with music from all over the world as the binding agent. WIJ is a powerful musical story by, for, and by Flemings and non-native speakers who learned or are learning Dutch. Created for those learning Dutch, but just as engaging for the Flemish music or theater visitor. Lennaert Maes and Andries Boone have been making performances for those learning Dutch for 15 years. They work together with top musicians: Zouratié Koné from Burkina Faso, Nathalie Ballestas from Colombia, and Jamal Moussaid from Morocco. These newcomers were professional musicians in their home country and bring their musical influences with verve to our stage.
