What starts with a simple handshake grows into an acrobatic choreography in which bodies carry, lift, and catch each other. And you can interpret that literally. In Hugs & Handshakes , five partner acrobats build increasingly complex figures from simple encounters. Hands become support points, shoulders foundations … in full trust with everyone who surrounds them. What initially looks playful and light unfolds into an impressive interplay in which timing, generosity, and precision come together. What is so special about this? You sometimes no longer know who is the performer and who is the spectator. And that is exactly the point. No one is put on a pedestal here. Everyone is on an equal footing, sometimes even literally. Hugs & Handshakes is an ode to meeting. To making something together that is only possible if you trust each other. A connecting performance for young and old from 6 to 106 years old.
