OPUS XVII - The future sounds - Centrumharmonie Geel

For the seventeenth edition of the annually recurring OPUS concerts, the Harmonieorkest and the Jeugdorkest van Centrumharmonie Geel join forces in a festive double production. The youth orchestra, led by Wies Minten, celebrates its ten-year existence and presents a sparkling ‘Best Of’ program. It brings a selection of works from its own young history that managed to charm the audience multiple times, and which at the same time shows their youthful enthusiasm and musical versatility. The harmony orchestra, led by Bert Van Thienen, takes care of the second part with repertoire that highlights the richness and maturity of the ensemble. Together with its loyal audience, which spans several generations, the more than 150 musicians of both orchestras celebrate what makes music so special: the meeting between young and experienced, between fresh energy and lived-in music-making. Another indispensable edition of OPUS, bubbling with (young) talent and musicality. Or in other words: the future sounds!
