Free
The free international festival Beeldig Lommel will take place on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Dozens of living statues, musical and mobile acts will bring out their best performance to amaze thousands of visitors in the beautiful city center of Lommel. On Saturday, June 13, there is a free audio description tour, aimed at the blind and visually impaired, organized in consultation with Licht en Liefde. At 12:30 PM, we will welcome you at Huis van de Mens, located at Hertog Janplein 24. Here you can relax for a moment and get to know the different materials and costumes that the living statues use. From 1:00 PM, an experienced interpreter will guide you through the living statue route of about 2.5 km. Through a fascinating audio description, you will learn everything about the acts, the costumes, and the context of the living statues. Between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, we will conclude the tour back at Huis van de Mens with coffee and cake. You can register for the tour until May 25 via the link below. In this form, you can also indicate whether you wish for accompanied transport to the starting location from the train station or the nearest bus stop Lommel-Vreyshorring (stop for lines 29, X18, 83, 827, 828 and the flexbus). Of course, we will ensure that you also get back to the bus stop or the station safely. Shortly before the event, you will receive the final practical information via email.
