At that time, there was hardly any information available, so it was mainly experimenting with a lot of trial and error. The collection consists almost exclusively of home-grown trees with species from our region, but with a preference for the Scots pine. There is still an experiment running there to test the possibilities of cultivation from seed. The garden is primarily a work garden and not a show garden.
