A strong bond forms between them because of their great love for folk music. When Als Lionel years later he receives a letter from David, it leads to an improvised trip through the wilderness of Maine to collect folk songs. The understated but unmistakable chemistry between Paul Mescal (‘Hamnet’, ‘Aftersun’) and Josh O’Conner (‘The Mastermind’, ‘Challengers’) is the heart of this wonderful film, with beautiful cinematography and enchanting music.
