Multi-platinum artist Sam Bettens has released a new country-Americana album, taking a fresh step in his already rich career. Praised for his musicality and enthusiasm, he proves once again why he still belongs on the biggest stages. The album combines youthful freshness with the lived-in honesty of an experienced songwriter.
Having grown up in Hoewel Bettens in Antwerp, he effortlessly knows how to capture the authentic atmosphere of classic country music. His fluid lyrics and lived-in voice make every song credible and compelling.
His 15 years in East Tennessee, partly as a firefighter, have undoubtedly contributed to this natural transition to Americana. The result is a record that feels like a road trip through the southern US.
For the recordings in Nashville, Bettens worked together with top guitarist Tom Bukovac, who, with a strong group of musicians, ensured a radio-friendly and high-quality sound.
As half of K’s Choice, Bettens already scored international hits, but this album puts his more introspective, Americana side center stage. A record that asks to be listened to on vinyl, with a glass of whiskey within reach.
