The horses are harnessed, the girls are beautiful, the boys are strong. The ballet, a mix of circus, acrobatics, and music, takes on an exhilarating atmosphere. And then they fall, the costumes tear, the makeup runs, a lamp pops. People and horses are dragged along, and in that chaos, they invent a new world. “Over Goud and Blood” does not tell the story of the end of an era. It tells the story of a new beginning.
