Bram Nolf and Dodici Corde - Mozartiade

€4–20
Toen Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart traveled to Munich in 1781 for the premiere of his opera Idomeneo, he came into contact with Friedrich Ramm, the star oboist of the classical music world at the time. At Ramm's request, Mozart wrote a quartet for oboe and three strings, in which he lets the oboe shine in all its facets and possibilities. In Mozartiade brings oboist Bram Nolf this beautiful quartet, together with Dodici Corde, an international string trio consisting of the American violinist Karen Su (laureate of the Koningin Elisabethwedstrijd in 2024), the Polish violist Monika Mlynarczyk, and the Italian cellist Eduardo Tonietto. Mozart's oboe quartet is flanked in this program by an oboe quartet by contemporary and youngest Bach son, Johann Christian Bach, a beautiful Adagio for the cor anglais (also by Mozart), and the only movement from an unfinished string trio by Franz Schubert.
