The Mirror

The playing area is dark and empty, the colors are still sleeping. Suddenly a line and a dot appear, and another one, and another one. Dots, circles, spheres and cones. A colorful wind of little spheres opens up all the senses. Feel the wind blowing softly and get lost with us in a delightful chaos. And then … a work of art is created that Wassily Kandinsky would be jealous of. Nekandinskie is an interactive performance for the very youngest, to enjoy in silence or to actively help build. This toddler performance was awarded for best scenography on Boze Wolffestival 2025: "Lines and stripes emerge, paintings color the dark, colors fill the void. The painter's palette of Kandinsky goes into effect, with circles and lines, with black and colored dots, with intense colors and strokes. (…) Small and big alike experience this synesthesia of images, music, play, interaction in a very playful and casual way. Theater of things can be poetry, and this new musical and three-dimensional Kandinsky van Lize Pede is pure poetry." (jury member Tuur Devens)
