‘Tuimelaar’ (Tumbler) is a sensitive and musical experience for children from 6 months to one and a half and their (grand)parents. The compositions of the Taiwanese percussionist Yung-Tuan Ku form the source of inspiration for this performance. In a soft, sheltered environment, she enters into a musical encounter with the very young audience together with a clarinetist and a trumpeter. A journey of discovery in the wonderful world of gravity where one may roll, tumble, tumble about, tip over, and bounce back. Frisse Oren brings a musical ode and at the same time has an intimate and open character: coming to tumble for a little while is allowed, but swaying and dozing off for half an hour is also fine.
