Orgelconcert Xavier Deprez (Brussels)

Bart Jacobs obtained his master’s degrees for Organ and Harpsichord at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven in 2000 with highest honors. Between 2006 and 2010, he became a laureate at international organ competitions in Alkmaar, Amsterdam, Bruges, and Leeuwarden. Since 2012, he has been titular organist of the Cathedral of St. Michael and St. Gudula in Brussels. In his hometown of Bornem, he is active as an organist and as a driving force behind the organ heritage of Klein-Brabant. In 2021, he received the Bornem culture prize. He is an organ teacher at the academy for music, word, and dance in Bornem and the art humanities of the Lemmens Institute in Leuven. Bart Jacobs contributed to the project All of Bach of the Nederlandse Bachvereniging. With work by, among others, G.F. Handel and J.Ph. Rameau
