Torenlawijt, free music festival

On Friday, the pop and rock cover band NerveuS and the amazing tribute band Abba Gold Europe are coming to Diepenbeek. The band members of Abba Gold were in the cast of the musical ‘Mamma Mia! ‘ on West End in London. De Britse band set the Marktplein on fire once before in 2019 with hits such as ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘Does Your Mother Know’. We then dance on into the night to the party beats of the young talented Limburg DJ Knaep. On Saturday, from 2 pm, there is not only the cozy Boeremèrt on the nearby Servaasplein, but also a sing-along moment from 4 pm with the local choir Royerheide. For the occasion, they also sing Diepenbeek songs. With the sing-along afternoon and songs from the old days, the organization aims at seniors. They just continue that trip from 6 pm. De Tulpkes, a local band full of eternally rocking old-timers, plays the biggest hits from the golden years of the 60s, 70s and 80s. From 8 pm, the ambiance doesn't stop anymore. We are going to play accordion with Luc Steeno, swing the hips on Funky D and then enjoy Wim Soutaer with a smile on our faces. The party is concluded on Saturday night by GLAM! That is a very catchy Dutch band that brings the 80s to life with a show full of wonderfully wrong sing-alongs, raw rock classics, synthpop and compelling ballads.
