Taxandria heads to the tractors in Zeeland

Vogelwerkgroep Taxandria is heading to the migratory birds in Zeeland today. Caught between ebb and flow, we can hopefully catch quite a few waders in our binoculars or telescope today. Our feathered migrants have no time to bake on the beach in the summer. They have to divide their time between finding food and resting to be ready for the next part of their journey to Africa. They do the trip on their own wing power. Rest and nutrition are therefore extremely important to bring that great migration to a successful conclusion. Dangers are already lurking enough as it is. Birdwatchers are the least of their problems. We carpool from the parking lot at the sports hall of Turnhout and share the costs. Migratory birds find their lunch by the water, you will have to bring your own picnic. With binoculars or a telescope, you can of course see waders better than with the naked eye.
