Crystal & Runnin' Wild: powerful Rockabilly with international allure Born and raised in Brussels, Crystal grew up with the sounds of Country, Soul, Doo Wop, Rock-'n-Roll, and Rockabilly. At sixteen, she first set foot on a stage, accompanied by the renowned Belgische Rockabilly-band Runnin' Wild. The experienced band, with Patrick Ouchêne, Johnny Trash, and Clark Kenis, decided in 2012 to join forces with the young talent. Thus Crystal & Runnin' Wild was born, a collaboration that quickly grew into a success story on European stages. With performances in, among others, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Spain, and Russia, the band conquered a wide audience. An absolute highlight was their passage at the Brussels Summer Festival, where Crystal impressed with her powerful rendition of "Search And Destroy". That performance even attracted the attention of Steve McKay of Iggy & The Stooges, who later recorded an alternative version of the song with the band. In 2013, Crystal & Runnin' Wild won the Belgian part of the international Hard Rock Rising-competition of Hard Rock Café. As a result, the band released a first EP, on which Crystal shows her exceptional vocal versatility. With a voice that knows how to combine both the raw energy of punk and the warm intensity of soul, she confirmed herself as one of the most striking young voices within the roots and rockabilly scene.
