(More Relevant Than Ever!!!) Following his glorious victory at the Leiden Cabaret Festival, Roy toured mainly in the Netherlands with two full-length shows. When disaster struck twice during that final tour, it seemed as though the universe was trying to make a point (he was electrocuted on stage in Rotterdam by his electric guitar, and not long after, he suffered a thrombosis in his leg on the island of Texel). All in all, Roy took it in his stride, ended his comedy career and set out to explore new horizons in search of the meaning of it all. Some 15 years later, he still hasn’t figured out exactly what it was the universe was trying to tell him. And so, in ZAALSHOW 1, he returns to where he left off and where it all began: alone on a stage. Singing, silent and laughing! With himself and the world.
