About embarrassing moments in the chip shop
and mothers who come out of phones.
About small thoughts that become bigger
and big feelings that shrink.
About hormones and a growing mustache,
about wearing skirts and about armpit hair.
About girls and boys and boxes.
Or is it perhaps not all that black and white?
In Bonjour mademoiselleke meet Lukas Glowacki’s love for theater and illustration. The performance is a living graphic novel that unfolds drawing by drawing. In this visual search for gender identity, Lukas draws mainly from conversations, situations, and feelings that he has experienced himself.
Everything that can be seen on stage is hand-drawn and crafted and is visibly manipulated by five players. This stream of images, thoughts, words, and feelings is accompanied live on melodica, accordion, and an electronic organ.
Bonjour mademoiselleke is a performance for young and old in which themes such as identity, gender, and the search for yourself are approached with a good dose of curiosity, care, and humor.
For everyone from 10 years old.
