April and Frank Wheeler are a beautiful couple. Life smiles upon them: house, garden, children, work… and love, so much love. They have it all. They dare to dream big and conceive the radical plan to leave everything behind, move to Paris, and start a new life there. But they are overtaken by reality and their dream is trampled. ‘Revolutionary Road’ is a story about the mendacity of domestic happiness, about apparent harmony behind which a world of despair hides. About love that, out of powerlessness, gradually turns against the other, about what you actually think and what you then say. About who you would like to be and who you ultimately are. About wanting to escape everything, but not being able to escape yourself. About wanting to unleash a revolution but getting lost in your own head. Performed by two generations of players who attack each other with the razor-sharp dialogues of Richard Yates.
