Reveil 2026

On November 1, 2026, the municipality of Essen organizes a Reveil for the eighth time. A warm and subdued commemoration moment with a cultural approach. This year, Reveil will take place at the Essen-Statie cemetery park, Kerkhofweg in Essen, around sunset (from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM). During this subdued moment, we provide a recitation of poems and a musical moment. Program: 5:00 PM: Welcome by the Alderman of Culture 5:05 PM: Recitation of some poems by Josse De Maesschalk 5:15 to 5:20 PM: Musical accompaniment by Dave Van Ginderen 6:00 PM: Einde De association 'the Koninklijke Harmonie De Verenigde Statievrienden' provides a cup of warm soup for those present this evening.
