The 100 years of Miles Davis. In 2026, jazz celebrates the centenary of the birth of Miles Davis, a major and elusive figure who, throughout his life, never ceased to push the boundaries of sound. This project pays tribute to this perpetual quest for novelty: a musical journey that begins in the muffled mists of Kind of Blue (1959), a masterpiece of modal jazz, and ventures all the way to the electric and groovy bursts of the 80s. On stage, the musicians revisit these different eras with a single demand: bringing Miles's spirit to life rather than freezing it. Between lyricism and energy, acoustic and electric, the sextet weaves a dialogue between eras, a celebration of movement, freedom, and sound. On the menu are some must-haves from Kind of Blue, from his collaborations with Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter up to his later, more electric period featuring Tutu, Amandla, Jean-Pierre, Human Nature,… Without forgetting the legendary “Ascenseur pour l’échafaud” (Elevator to the Gallows).
