During the Week of the Bee, we will go in search of bumblebees together. On this walk, you will get to know our fluffiest wild bees and learn a lot about their way of life and relationship with certain plants. We will walk through our area Marselaer where forest and open flower-rich patches alternate. You probably already knew that bumblebees are important pollinating insects, but had you heard of long-tongues and short-tongues? We will also teach you how to recognize the different species of bumblebees: the red-tailed bumblebee, common carder bee, or tree bumblebee will no longer be a mystery to you... and who knows, we might even get to see a rarer species!
