William Boeva - Drift

William Boeva has a problem. He is by now so famous that he is always and everywhere recognized and addressed. Yet he remains friendly, always ready with a joke. That fame often opens doors, but at the same time clashes with a bitter realization: what is sometimes taken for granted for him remains a constant struggle for many people with a disability. What if those doors close for him again tomorrow? William feels the pressure to keep pleasing and to make everyone happy. And if he doubts for a moment, he thinks: “What would Jesus do?” But meanwhile, something else is bubbling up. Something that lurks in everyone: drive. The appetite to let go of the brakes and experience everything he had to miss in his younger years. Does that make him a bad person? In DRIFT, William figures it out: what do you do with your drives? When are you a good person? When are you allowed to make mistakes? And when are you allowed to just be… human? Is there still a manual, or do we have to rewrite it together?
