Guided tour: Slow looking at art

Sun, 7 Jun 2026 · 12:30
FOMU - Fotomuseum Antwerpen, Antwerp
Free
Slow down. Look longer. See more. Every first Sunday of the month, FOMU invites you for a tour of the exhibitions. During this workshop, you will consciously take the time to really look. Without haste or distraction. Together with a guide, you will stay with one photo for a few minutes. Then, through simple questions, you will engage in a conversation about what you see and experience. You can participate actively or just listen. Everyone sees things differently. That is exactly what makes this tour so special. You don't need any prior knowledge. Using Visual Thinking Strategies – a conversation method that starts from what you see yourself – the guide will facilitate the conversation. By slowly looking together, you will discover new details, thoughts, and perspectives. Practical info Dates : April 5, May 3, June 7, July 5 & August 2, 2026, always from 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM. Starts promptly at 2:30 PM in the entrance hall (across from the elevator) of FOMU. You can recognize the guide by their FOMU sweater and T-shirt. Duration : 60 minutes Language : Dutch Participation is free with a valid entrance ticket; please book your ticket in advance. You do not need any prior knowledge to follow the tour – everyone can participate.
