Ostend Concerts is an initiative of Jongerenmuziekcentrum OHK. All ages are welcome! ◆◆◆◆◆ LINE UP ◆◆◆◆◆ REWILDING ------------------------------- Their roots lie deep in and around the Ostend soil. That maritime rawness translates directly into their sound: dark, compelling rap verses that break on rock rhythms. Their solid hip-hop foundation is flooded by roaring guitars and a dreamy trumpet, creating a character that is reminiscent of Limp Bizkit and Rage Against The Machine. Just like the biological concept after which they are named, this formation thus stands for a return to the brute essence. FOREIGN ELEMENTS ------------------------------- From the shadows of the coastline, this collective emerges to redefine the traditions of hip-hop. Armed with voices, synths and roaring drum pads, they claim their place right in the middle of the audience, like a rising tide taking possession of the beach. Their sound is a hypnotic dialogue between the melancholic jazzy spirit of the old school and the tight beats of the future. BONNE ------------------------------- If we have to drop our top 3 old-school hip-hop DJs, this man is definitely on it. You probably know him from his legendary sets at the Copador and Disco2disco. Tonight he digs deep into his record bag, but don't expect a standard hip-hop set! He doesn't just breathe behind the decks, by the way, he is also a beast behind the knobs as a producer. ??? ------------------------------- The man who made a home out of his voice. After years in youth care, the acoustics of the isolation cell became the place where he trained his vocal cords. You might recognize him from the VRT series Zonder Afspraak, or from his impressive role in the award-winning film Holly van Fien Troch.
