HOLY - Martha Canga Antonio

At the crossroads of theater and music, Martha Canga Antonio presents ‘HOLY’: an intense exploration of the ‘sacred’ and how this evolves. Both artists and audience move through different spaces and look for ways to be together. ‘HOLY’ is not really a concert, but also not entirely a performance and therefore knows how to create a special atmosphere. An atmosphere that invites you to let go of (thought) frameworks, certainties, and self-images and thus bring your inner light to the surface. ‘HOLY’ originated from a collaboration between a maker-writer, Martha Canga Antonio, two creative producers, Marie Umuhoza and Vivi Focquet, a scenographer, Jozef Wouters/Decoratelier, and a cast of hybrid performers who move on the cutting edge of music and dance. Together they take the audience on a journey, a transition, a moment frozen in time, in which freedom escapes words and even in intensity peace can be found.
