ILA try-out

ILA is Ilayda Cicek (vocals/guitar), Cas Kinnaer (drums), Sam Smeets (bass), and Mattias Stynen (guitar). In 2022, the band won De Nieuwe Lichting van Studio Brussel with breakthrough single 'Leave Me Dry', which was also at number 1 for three weeks in De Afrekening. After that, debut album 'Ayna' appeared, featuring hit singles 'All Again' and 'Make It Easy'. Two years after their debut, ILA has a successor ready with 'Motherland' and the band around frontwoman Ilayda Cicek sounds grander and more ambitious than ever. The album was recorded with top producer Mikko Gordon (Idles, The Smile), while Cicek's father and the elements of nature form a common thread through the album. The first single 'In My Heart' is an uptempo indie rock song about holding on to a love that has already faded, and finding the strength to choose for yourself. Motherland will be released in October. In the autumn, the foursome will go on their first European tour through France, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, ending with a performance at the AB. Before the band starts its European tour, we are happy to welcome ILA in de Singer with a try-out on Thursday, October 29!
