Straight in the Eyes

Photo exhibition ‘Recht in de Ogen’ by the EF.FE coalition (Furia, ella vzw, Femma, Vrouwenraad, Vie Féminine, Marche Mondiale des Femmes and Mode d’Emploi). This exhibition brings close the impact of political choices on women's daily lives. Through 25 monumental black-and-white portraits, women talk about their experiences with poverty, work, care, housing, health, and social protection, among other things. The portraits make visible that inequality is not an individual failing, but the result of societal relations and political choices.
