Begraafplaats Putte in good hands

Get to know the cemetery of Putte better through this interesting and surprising tour! The current cemetery of Putte, located on the Lierbaan and the Clemensstraat, was laid out in 1889. The first burial took place in 1890 and shortly thereafter a number of graves and some historical graves were moved from the original churchyard to the new cemetery. In the meantime, a star meadow and nature cemetery have also been added. Tijdens Open Monumentendag will provide a tour at 3 PM by Putte resident and funerary heritage expert Tamara Ingels. Whether it concerns the history and evolution of the cemetery, remarkable people who found their final resting place here, or notable symbols that you can find at this location, Tamara Ingels can tell you all about it.
