The heat is on.
Lucius and Haider are dancing a conversation. They don’t yet know whether it will end in a duet or a duel. Clashing viewpoints, misunderstandings, sensitivities and frustrations lie in wait. They take up the fight with the weapons they have: their words and the language of dance. They listen, shout and whisper in a tense pas-de-deux. Their moderator: a synthesiser that amplifies, drowns out or harmonises their voices. One ting is for sure: neither of them is going anywhere until they’ve had a serious conversation. Until they’ve heard and felt that they’re on the same wavelength. Because it’s fucking necessary.

Wavelength is the theatrical adaptation of a real conversation between Haider Al Timimi and Lucius Romeo-Fromm about our polarised world. One ended up in Belgium from Iraq, the other from the United States. They shared their concerns about the world: about echo chambers, cancel culture, our place in the cosmos, and worldviews that are drifting so far apart that coexistence seems impossible. From there, they set out, through dance, in search of a possible answer.
