Following a good annual tradition, the Kessel fort opens its gates on the last Sunday of August. You will discover, among other things, the traitor batteries, ammunition depots, and troop rooms. You can view the destruction caused by the famous 'Big Berthas' from WWI and enjoy the magnificent view from the top of the fort.
On Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM, you can visit the fort for free and without reservation. The guides from Kessel Fort are happy to take you on guided walks through this fascinating structure.
The last tour starts at 4:30 PM.
They last a maximum of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Before or after the tour, there is the possibility to have a drink on the cozy terrace provided by the guide association.
