With The Valley Sessions , CC De Ververij opens the new cultural season and at the same time kicks off an evening full of roots, adventure, and boundary-pushing music. Expect an energetic festival program that takes you to deep blues, bluegrass, and simply good rock&roll. 8 PM - A Murder in Mississippi After a busy festival summer '25 and as a support act for Sam Bettens (K’s Choice), the interest and following for A Murder in Mississippi is growing! In the autumn of 2024, the Ghent sextet launched their third album 'Reverie' with their own mix of americana, bluegrass, folk, polka & country, where blues and gospel are also not far away. On the banks of the Mississippi, this band makes your demons dance and you are drawn into a musical journey. In the past, A Murder in Mississippi played in sold-out venues and festivals in Europe, including Roots & Roses (BE) and Bluegrass La Roche (FR), as well as at, among others, Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, Vierdaagse Nijmegen, Tough Enough Festival (Botanique Brussel) ... With their exciting, original, captivating roots music, AMIM ensures an ‘instant feelgood’! 9:30 PM - Gulo Gang A panting pack of gluttons drags you along on a sweaty quest through a mysterious microcosm. Gulo Gang serves an explosive mix of post-punk, electronics, and oriental folk-rock. They turn every stage into a sizzling splash pool, with echoes of King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Fat Dog, and Viagra Boys. The brothers Michiel and Kris D’Haeze form the beating heart of the band: Michiel with his fragile, characterful voice; Kris with a saxophone that both tears and caresses. Around them stand three top musicians who make Gulo Gang a roaring trip machine, with noisy guitars, subtle synths, and melancholic harmonies. Gulo Gang stays far away from everything that is hip and trendy. No studio tricks, no filler, no copy - just pure, raw live energy that thaws even the most stubborn audience. 11 PM - Thomas Frank Hopper With his new album Wild Ones Never Die , Thomas Frank Hopper makes a powerful comeback. De Belgische artist, known for his powerful blues-rock sound, pushes the boundaries of the genre and ventures into more contemporary sounds without ever losing his authenticity. On stage, Hopper and his band deliver an exciting performance that is generous and full of energy. By finding a balance between power, emotion, and connection with the audience, every show becomes a unique experience in itself. For this release, the musician worked with illustrator SMOOZ, who designed the entire visual world of the album.
