Evening walk in the Kluisbos, followed by stargazing (if the sky is clear)

Walking in the dark is magical. We come to complete rest when all disturbing stimuli fall away. Let your eyes get used to the dark for a moment and you will be amazed at how they adapt to the available light. Due to the limited visibility, smell and hearing become more important. It is blissfully quiet, but if we listen carefully... not entirely. Only then do we hear the natural nightlife. Many animals hide during the day to gather or scavenge their food at night. A forest sound riddle is therefore very appropriate here. Our guide, Marc De Jonghe, will tell us along the way about the nocturnal animals and how they find their way in the (semi)dark. We will hear strong stories about Joseph Plancquaert & Edouard Joseph Joly. The walk ends where we started, at the Tower, the highest point of the Kluisbos. Around 9 PM, Gunther Groenez will be ready with a real telescope to search the universe for stars and planets. As we know Gunther, he will passionately tell us what we see. Bet you'll look up much more when it's dark after that? Now just keep your fingers crossed for an open sky because we don't get that on order. A flashlight is handy, but we use it as little as possible. Feel like walking along? Then register quickly. Aan de Toren has little parking space. A bit lower (one-way when driving up) there is a large parking lot.
