the Singer Puur: Keep North

Keep North is a jazz trio with Alexi Tuomarila (piano), Brice Soniano (double bass), and Lionel Beuvens (drums). The three musicians have been playing together for over twenty years in various projects. The group originated from Lionel's project MOTU, but has since developed its own recognizable style. The music of Keep North is a mix of original compositions and free improvisation, where the musicians strongly respond to each other. The result is energetic, melodic music with plenty of room for spontaneity and interplay. Met de Singer Puur we go back to the essence. No microphones, no speakers, no large distance between musicians and audience. The artists play acoustically or semi-acoustically, in a smaller space within our club. That gives the concerts a different atmosphere: closer, quieter, more attentive. You hear every nuance and the music fills the space in a very natural way.
