Tree walk: from Bloedput to Passantenbrug

We walk the Buiten Boeverievest from the Smedenpoort to the Passantenbrug. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of fortification where one can still have an idea of how steep it was to storm those fortifications. Thanks to the efforts of the former heads of the Green Service, this piece has a remarkable collection of native and exotic trees. Planted at the end of the 19th century, the trees can be admired in their full glory. Many of these trees are centenarians.
