Team Rudy – film screening and after-talk with Rudy Morren and Nic Balthazar

When actor and writer Rudy Morren receives the diagnosis of Parkinson's, his life seems to come to a standstill. He does not withdraw. He walks into his local pub and openly asks for help. Thus arises Team Rudy, a motley and warm group of friends, neighbors, and colleagues who carry him in the most difficult moments, and who build connection parties full of humor and emotion together. Regisseur Nic Balthazar follows that story in an intimate and often disarmingly funny documentary. The film is about much more than a disease. It is about loneliness, about daring to ask for help, and about the power of carrying together. Precisely for this reason, Samana and NeuroCentrumWest bring the film to Izegem.
